Be the kind of person
you’d want to meet

MySingleFriend is built on real friendships and genuine connections. These guidelines help keep it that way.

What we stand for

Everything on MySingleFriend starts with these principles.

Be authentic

Use your real name, real photos, and real videos. No catfishing, no stolen images, no AI-generated faces. People deserve to know who they’re talking to.

Be respectful

Treat everyone the way you’d want to be treated. Not every match will work out — that’s okay. Handle rejection and interest with equal grace.

Be kind

Behind every profile is a real person with real feelings. A little kindness goes a long way — especially in dating.

Be honest

Be upfront about who you are and what you’re looking for. Honesty builds trust — and trust is the foundation of every good relationship.

Video & profile standards

Your profile is how people get to know you. Make it count — and keep it real.

Do

  • · Record genuine, natural video answers — personality beats production value
  • · Use recent photos and videos that look like you today
  • · Write an honest, thoughtful bio
  • · Answer your friend’s questions honestly — the real you is the best you
  • · Keep it lighthearted — this should be fun

Don’t

  • · Post nude, sexually explicit, or suggestive content
  • · Use photos or videos of someone else
  • · Include children in dating profile photos
  • · Upload content with violence, hate symbols, or graphic material
  • · Use AI-generated images or deepfakes

Being a good friend on here

The friend feature is what makes MySingleFriend special. Use it well.

Hype them up

Your job is to make your mate look great. Be their biggest fan — highlight what makes them special.

Ask genuine questions

Questions should bring out their personality, not embarrass them. Think “what would make someone want to meet them?”

Respect their privacy

Don’t share private stories, secrets, or information your friend wouldn’t want on a dating profile.

Messaging standards

Good conversations are the foundation of good connections. A few ground rules.

Start conversations thoughtfully

Reference something from their profile or video. Show you’re paying attention — a genuine opener beats a generic one every time.

Respect boundaries

If someone doesn’t reply, take the hint gracefully. No one owes you a response. Repeated unwanted messages are harassment.

No unsolicited sexual content

Sending unsolicited sexual messages, explicit images, or inappropriate propositions is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

No hate or discrimination

Slurs, racist language, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of discrimination will not be tolerated. Zero tolerance.

No spam or solicitation

Don’t use messaging to promote businesses, social media accounts, or external services. MySingleFriend is for dating, not marketing.

What happens if you break the rules

We’d rather not enforce rules at all. But when someone makes the platform worse for others, we act.

1

Warning

Formal notice that your behaviour violated our guidelines.

2

Content removal

Offending content is removed from the platform.

3

Suspension

Temporary or permanent restriction of your account.

4

Permanent ban

Serious violations result in immediate, permanent removal.

Serious offences — threats, exploitation, scams — skip straight to permanent removal. We may also report to law enforcement.

Let’s make dating better, together

These guidelines exist because we believe dating can be better than endless swiping and ghosting. By using MySingleFriend, you’re agreeing to be part of that mission.
